Sawdust and Tinsel – Kindles soar in this stunning, allegorical movie set in a small-time carnival and concentrating on the relation between carnival owner Gronberg and his oversexed mistress (Andersson). This is a Crude, foul-minded, heavy handed motion picture from book by Joseph Wambaugh, who disavowed this dud. Cast includes Charles Durning, Louis Gossett, Jr., Perry Baron, Clyde Kusatsu, Stephen Macht, Tim McIntire, Randy Quaid, Don Stroud, and James Woods. (119 minutes,’77)
