Make Article Writing More Enjoyable
Many see writing articles as a nuisance. I happen to disagree with this belief. I think that article writing can be one of the most fun and rewarding activities there is.
The concept of coming up with things to write about, and then knowing what to write, can be a challenge. Still, there are strategies that make this easy and enjoyable.
Here are five tips that I’d like to share with you, all of which should aid you in your article writing efforts, regardless of your motivation.
One thing that makes the job easier to do is to create lists, just like the one I’m creating now. Lists give you the equivalent of an outline, as you’ll know exactly what the article will consist of before it’s done. I’ve always found this to be useful.
Yet another really easy means of writing has always been that of telling stories based on my own experience. Whether it’s something you did a long time ago, or a more recent event that led you to feel a certain way about something, retelling the events and interjecting your thoughts will easily lead to an article that flows well and captures the minds of your readers.
Sometimes I’ll challenge myself to finish a number of articles in a given time period. Not only does this keep me concentrating on the task at hand, but it becomes more fun when I’m trying to set new personal bests.
Reward yourself when you’re done with your articles. This way, the purpose of your work may be less abstract in the short run. Many people forget why they’re writing to begin with, and they fail to see this.
Lastly, I’d recommend that you work to improve your typing speed and skills. This will go a very long way toward improving your overall efficiency. In typing quickly, I find that I can write an article in half the time that most people can.
