SEO or Search Engine Optimization is an extremely important part of any online business. Your websites traffic will dominantly be through the search engines results pages (SERP?s). Using the correct SEO techniques can create a higher ranking for your website and in turn bring you more traffic. More than 80% of all website traffic is from search engine result pages.

There are two types of SEO, On Page and Off Page SEO. While On-Page SEO is important, Off Page SEO uses a more sophisticated technology to obtain your website and high page rank (PR) after your site has gone live.

Below you will find a list of other methods that are being used to increase link popularity. Not everyone has the time or ability to create high quality content for their websites and constantly update it to keep it fresh and new.

Article Marketing: You can market your website as well as get the backlinks on high page ranking (PR) sites with the use of article directories. Some article directories have a very high page rank and having your article placed on their site with your website link helps to increase your PR. Each article submitted will include a resource box where you get a chance to introduce yourself and include a link to your website. There are thousands of directory sites and some will submit your article to over 200 sites for as little as $25.

Forum Marketing: Online forums or communities are everywhere on the web. They can be used to increase your pages PR. You should find the ones that relate the closest to your websites topic and begin posting. Use your signature box to place your website link in and with every post you make you will have a page linking back to your website.

Advertise on Craigslist: This site has a PR7 score and this is extremely high. Being able to create an ad with your link on this site will increase your sites popularity quickly. It does not matter who if anyone reads the ad, just place it and don?t forget to include your website link. You can find two or more webmasters and create triangular links.

Using triangular linking is a way to get around the issue Google has with the reciprocal links. With two or more webmasters you will be able to begin linking to each other?s sites without using reciprocal links. Finding partners can also be helpful.
