Money is Valuable When It Is Circulated
What is money? Isn’t cash just pieces of paper with value imputed to it by government systems. Let me ask you one thing though– have you ever thought about what makes money valuable? What is it that makes it a worthwhile commodity to have?
We all know and have discussed about the qualities and the effective ways on making money. We want the steps to attain financial freedom and read all there is to know about wealth building. This is all well and good but there is one more thing you must know about money-it must circulate.
Money is worthwhile only if it is circulated. Your efforts on making money will become a waste if you are not going to cash in your check and use the proceeds. Seems easy enough to grasp but you will be surprised that people still don’t know this truth and sacrifice an excellent quality of life for wealth building that have no purpose but to be accumulated.
An example of such a person is old Mr. Chapman. He used to go around streets looking for junk that others have discarded so he can sell them off for whatever amount he can get. Mr. Chapman had never become rich because he lived the same way until he died after several years.
When he died, there were no known relatives who lived nearby so the police came to account for whatever was left in his home. As you can expect, the house was filled with old memorabilia and furnishings from all the years he roamed the streets. What was unexpected were the boxes of cash that amounted to more than $100,000 that was stashed away in his place.
You would think that $100,000 is the very definition of financial freedom; but not one person could say that the elderly junk dealer was ever a success. He had the dusty money, but because he never used it for himself or other people-the cash was as good as the old cast-offs he used to collect.
Don’t get me wrong, you must never spend all that you have on wasteful living-of course not. What we are saying is that you must use money to enjoy and have a quality of life everybody deserves. Exercise wisdom in managing your finances, but always put money in its proper place in your life.
We can tsk tsk old Mr. Chapman for his unwise actions but really, so many people have become rich and have been found guilty of the same thing-accumulating wealth without using it wisely. At the end of the day, success is found not in the quantity of money you have, but by the quality of living that you have done.
