Vintage Versus Old: Using Your Own Car For Your Wedding
Weddings are as beautiful and romantic as they are very costly. That is a verified fact. From the time leading to the wedding day when the boyfriend flashes out the engagement ring to his love to the honeymoon vacation, everything stinks of a dollar sign. But as any penny pincher will say, you can always cut cost.
Cutting cost shouldn’t be painful. You can still have the dream wedding you desire, simply look for the cheaper version. Reducing cost may mean having roses or carnation rather than the easily-wilt tulips. Or look for thrift shops that offer discount when you purchase a large volume of that kind. You may make your own souvenir, your gown and the dresses may be sewn or rented, food may be cooked by a relative, and your friend volunteers may organize the music and the whole event. Almost everything can be bought cheaper.
There are things that, no matter how much you try, remain costly. Your wedding car can cost you from a few hundred dollars to more than a thousand. Even the relatively cheaper car rental services still cost hundreds of dollars.
So why not utilize your own old yet working vehicle instead? Turn something old into vintage. The difference is old is outdated, but vintage is retro. People are going for retro nowadays so even if your vehicle is already decades old, you can save money by turning it into your wedding car rather than renting.
You can do this by grooming your automobile. The great thing about grooming your own car to function on your wedding day is that not only will it save you hundreds of dollars, you also get to restore your car’s magnificence too. This lasts for more than a few paltry hours as well. You need to groom your car regularly anyway, so why not just use it for your big day?
Vintage is regarded as stylish and chic today. So even if your automobile doesn’t fall into the family of the high end class, you need not trouble yourself. Your old Volks would even do if it is still in good working shape. Color isn’t an issue anymore too. While only white would do in the yesteryears, any other hue available will also do so no need for a fresh paintjob.
You would need the required embellishments, of course. Add the “Just Married” banner and the flowers on the hood and you’re good to go.
